Then look no further, we have a job for you We are hiring Clinical Advisors for an immediate start to work at our Contact Centre in Peterborough but start dates can be negotiated depending on individual circumstances. Who are we? HUC provides accessible and high quality Integrated Urgent Care services to nearly 3 million patients across a range of counties, including Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire and Essex. When service users need the right medical advice, signposting or treatment, HUC provides the NHS111 and Out of Hours GP service. The Role: Due to expansion we are currently seeking Registered Nurses and Paramedics who are professional, enthusiastic and well-motivated with a passion for caring and able to build a rapport with our service users over the telephone. As a Clinical Advisor for our NHS111 Service you will assess the health and clinical needs of people who use our services. Your critical thinking process and clinical judgement would be absolutely vital to agree a course of action using the NHS Pathways clinical triage system, to determine the next steps in their unscheduled care journey. Role Expectations: You must be a registered nurse, paramedic or other suitably qualified healthcare professional. (NMC, HCPC etc) with a minimum of 1-year front line experience and be able to: Carry out complex clinical triage, providing assessment, advice and information to the patient Utilise your professional judgement in referring callers to other agencies as appropriate Respond to and assist call handlers in the management of critical situations Pay Rates: £17.00 p/h- Initial period during pathways training £18.00 p/h - After completion of pathways training £19.80 p/h - Enhanced rate weekday evenings £20.70 p/h - Enhanced rate weekends £22.50 p/h - Enhanced rate overnights Benefits of joining us: We will pay you for your Pathways Training / Qualification The opportunity to participate in a very high profile exciting clinical pilot Enhanced Rates for Bank Holiday working Excellent holiday entitlement NHS Pension Scheme Perkbox staff benefit scheme Being part of a supportive and innovative team with scope for progression This is an ideal role for someone looking for a new challenge and wanting to be part of an exciting team where your role makes a difference. We are flexible in our approach and have a range of shift patterns available for full time / part time opportunities (evenings weekends or overnights) Application and On-boarding: You will be completing the full NHS Pathways and System training to prepare you for the role. Our upcoming Pathways Courses are on a full-time basis lasting 6 weeks, Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
