Overview
Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Automotive background (CAN / ECU), London, £60-75k Senior Embedded Software Engineer opportunity with a remarkable VC backed cyber security start up in London where you will be working on the development of hardware and software authentication and encryption solutions for some of the most interesting problems in connected technology, IoT, Industry 4.0, Autonomous Vehicles and Quantum Technologies. The business has pioneered a low-cost, integrated circuit (IC) secure CAN module that can either be encased as a self-contained connector unit, or that can be embedded directly in the ECU or the CAN module. This was initially designed for the autonomous/connected vehicle / automotive industry but it has huge crossover potential to Smart Cities and 5G telecommunications and leading a team in orchestrating the developmental, design and testing behind this crossover is pivotal to the role of the Senior Embedded Software Engineer. It is expected that you will have a strong working history within the Automotive sector specifically around Controller Area Networks and ECU development that you can leverage and have strong experience in developing embedded systems including bare-metal to high level RTOS. You will ideally hold a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering and be strong with C and C++ and any exposure to MATLAB and Python would be an advantage. This is a permanent role, based in Central London so you must be commutable, but with significant working flexibilities, particular during this turbulent time. Salary is commensurate with experience but £60k-75k is expected.
