Overview
Design Engineer / Project Engineer required to join a manufacturer based near Wakefield. The Design Engineer will develop & design engineered products and provide support through all phases of product development and manufacture. The successful Design Engineer / Project Engineer must come from a mechanical engineering background with experience in design using Solidworks. You must be commutable to Wakefield Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Project Engineer / Solidworks / Mechanical Engineering / CAD Develop & design new & existing products and provide support through all phases of product development and manufacture Produce concept, layout, assembly and detail 2D / 3D CAD drawings (Solidworks) Establish design concepts and evaluate design ideas based on factors such as appealing aesthetic appearance, design function relationships, materials and methods engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production and customer specifications Design test equipment, packaging and production jigs & fixtures to aid product performance, manufacturing and saleability Produce practical design solutions to overcome technical and manufacturing issues associated with new and existing products Design Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Project Engineer / Solidworks / Mechanical Engineering / CAD Proven experience as a Design Engineer / Project Engineer Must be proficient using CAD / Solidworks Qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, production engineering, aerospace engineering, automotive engineering or similar Competent project / time management skills Design Engineer / Project Engineer / Solidworks / Mechanical Engineering / CAD
