Overview
Senior/Principal EMC Engineer Job Brief Enthusiastic, experienced and capable EMC Engineer responsible for the provision of EMC Engineering services to R&D and Project teams throughout the Company. Roles & Responsibilities ? Technical consultancy to the EMC team and to design teams in R&D and the wider company for EMC and other related standards compliance areas. ? EMC assessment / analysis and testing of products/systems for use in railway environments. ? Production of EMC control plans, technical files, environmental test plans and other related Project EMC and compliance documents. ? Management of the R&D EMC and environmental test facilities. Essential Qualities ? Chartered Electrical / Electronic Engineer. ? Good first degree or higher qualifications in Electrical / Electronic Engineering. ? Comprehensive knowledge of EMC testing and related physical phenomena. ? Experienced in the design of analogue and digital electronics. ? Proven analytical skills. ? Strong literacy skills. ? Team player. Desirable Qualities ? Experience of using Mathcad, Spice or similar modelling / simulation tools. ? Self-motivated and commercially astute, with leadership and communication skills. ? Strong attention to detail. ? Good PC skills including use of MS Office tools. ? Familiarity / experience in RF Engineering. ? Customer facing.
