Accounts Assistant Based: Denton Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 We are currently working with a manufacturing business in the Denton area of Manchester. Our client is looking for someone to start early March 2020 on a 12 month fixed term contract then moving onto a permanent contract in the future. The main responsibilities for this role are/will be: Post and process cash, cheques and credit card payments onto Accounting system Allocate credit notes and cash receipts timely to customer accounts Maintain the cash on delivery cash sheets for secure collection Scan and electronically file finance documents within ADM system Maintain and reconcile daily transport run sheets Matching, batching and coding of supplier invoices Process supplier invoices in a timely manner Check and process employee expense claims Reconciliation of supplier statements from time to time Prepare and process supplier payments in accordance with approval policy Manage petty cash Assist with month end journals and general ledger reconciliations Posting to the ledger the Bacs and web payments Bank reconciliation and Intrastat Incoming calls lunch/holiday cover for the credit controllers Ad hoc duties as and when required The successful candidate for this role will have/be: Worked in a similar role Good exposure to end to end purchase and sales ledger Have no notice period or a shorter notice period to start work early March 2020 Good knowledge of Microsoft packages What's on offer?
