Buyer A fantastic opportunity to join a hugely successful contractor in Buckinghamshire as a Buyer This your chance to join a successful team of 8 who work across a number of different construction sectors. The role - Buyer You will be buying construction materials such as drainage pipes, pre-cast concrete, curbs etc. You will be joining an experience team who undertake procurement across the Civil Engineering, Industrial and utilities sectors This is a unique opportunity where you will be given the autonomy to seek out the best rates and work with the design / site team to ensure the materials ordered are cost effective You will enjoy working in an open plan office in a relaxed, lively environment This is a fast-paced, reactive role where you will be challenged and upskilled The team are from a variety of construction sectors / backgrounds and play to each others strengths and while you will specialise in certain products it is very much a team effort The department head has been with the company for a number of years and has built a strong team who really enjoy working together - staff retention is excellent as he strives to make it a fun, enjoyable place to work What else is on offer? 25 days holiday - increasing up to a maximum of 30 depending on length or service 1 hour for lunch Subsidised cafe The company will contribute 5.5% if you contribute 2% Bonus up to 15% Life insurance Income protection Training Subsidised café on site The right person - Buyer You will have buying experience or will be from a Builders Merchants background You will be bright, hard working and personable Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30-5.30.
