Overview
New opportunity to join an established and well respected Freight Forwarding company located close to Heathrow. This role would suit a school or college leaver, who is interested in beginning a career in international logistics & freight forwarding. A career in freight forwarding offers real long term career prospects and can be a career for life This role is as a trainee freight forwarding clerk, full training will be provided in the following areas: Providing quotations Liaising with customer when booking new shipments Obtaining space/rates with airlines Booking collections Creating shipping documents for Airfreight Completing export customs entries through a HMRC system Liaison with overseas branches regarding new shipments Keeping clients up to date on the shipping status of their goods This is an office based position so basic computer literacy skills are a requirement for this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, bother verbal and written and have a willingness & desire to learn and be a success within the role. Hours: Typically Mon-Fri 0900-1730 Starting Salary: £15,000-£17,000 per annum If you do not hear from us your application has been unsuccessful.
