Care Assistant – New Care Home Contract: Permanent - full time (38.5hpw) to include alternative weekends Shifts: Days 8am - 8pm, or nights 8pm - 8am Location: Arbour Walk, Hungerford Road, Brislington, Bristol BS4 5HU Salary: £9.00 to £11.00 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience) Join us at Cedar Care Homes We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, caring and passionate individuals who will help our residents to live every day to the fullest in our new, purpose-built Care Home in Brislington. This is a role where you can be rewarded on a daily basis for helping those in need, as well as develop your skills. We provide all of our staff with training and ongoing support, so no direct care experience is required, although it is beneficial. Job Description: - Enabling residents to maintain their well being by ensuring that their needs are met according to their preferences and lifestyles as specified in their care plan - Developing respectful and friendly relationships - Getting to know the residents and their lifestyle preferences - Assisting with washing, dressing and using the toilet - Assisting with feeding and drinking - Completing daily records - Providing residents with your attention and company Required Skills, Abilities and Experience: - We provide our Care Assistants with the training required for the role, so no direct care experience is required, although it is beneficial - A background in customer service or a people-oriented environment is desirable - Individuals who can adapt well to working as a team and independently - Individuals who have good verbal and written communication; with the ability to respect confidentiality, dignity and the privacy of the residents Other organisations may call this role Trainee Care Worker, Personal Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Residential Care Assistant, or Trainee Support Worker.
