Overview
Graduate Laser/Optical Physicist This is the ideal role for a bright Physicist who wants to work with the latest laser technology This position will give candidates the opportunity to work on new research into physics and laser principles combined with the chance to play a key role in the successful launch of new products. The laser field is constantly evolving, and this position will give you the chance to work with some of the sectors leading engineers and scientists with a shared vision of creating and delivering innovative world leading laser technology. This role will be key in driving forward next generation fibre laser products through the full product lifecycle into manufacturing. Interacting across different business functions you will be influential in the successful launch of new products to market. Some day to day responsibilities will include: Support the verification and validation requirements for new product developments. Develop new laser technology to help aid the new product introduction and technology development teams. Work on prototype lab demonstrations and product evaluation testing in collaboration with other members of the team. For this role we are looking for: A strong understanding of the principles of laser technology along with a practical hands on approach to technology development. A PhD or degree in Physics ideally with a focus on laser or optics technology. Some industry experience working on the development of hi-tech products.
