Country: United Kingdom Location: Southampton Function: Operations Level: Graduate Appointment Type: Fixed Term Leaf Global Graduate Program (Southampton) We have a great opportunity for a Global Graduate to join our Leaf Supply Chain function based in Southampton. The role offers the opportunity to work in a Global above market Supply Chain, supplying Leaf from our Suppliers to our Customers.Our 31 Suppliers and 36 Customers are positioned all over the World and our Leaf is supplied on a VMI basis. The leaf supply chain is also responsible for some Semi Finished Blends (SFB's) such as Granules and Reconstituted tobacco. Through this program you will get exposure to a global environment, learning the base principles of Leaf Supply Chain, the processes that underpin how we work and Leaf Operations in a multinational company and engaging with very diverse stakeholders. Principal Accountabilities will include: * Responsible for daily administrative duties and reporting tasks across the Global Leaf Pool Supply Planning Team * Responsible monitoring of In Process Controls (IPCs) administration, reporting and tracking of continuous improvement initiatives. * Learning how to deliver Supply plans to meet the customer requirements across the Leaf Global Supply Chain Network * Understanding the principles and application of Inventory planning, containerisation and optimisation * Identifying risk / issues and managing exceptions through the Weekly In Process Control Metrics (IPC) to: * Avoid Out of stock (OOS) and deliver On time in full (OTIF) * Investigate and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) through engagement with cross-functional stakeholders * Engaging with priority stakeholders through regular forums/ meetings, such as Customer Facing & Factory Engagement meeting * Learning all relevant processes, procedures as per defined Operating model. * Driving the continued improvement in Supply planning performance and its interaction with team members. * Ensure sustainable and robust reporting delivered on time and according to defined metrics and tolerances. * Provide a high-quality analysis of the IPCs and identification of trends and areas for improvement. * Ensure that the system is kept up to date with specific areas that are identified in the principle accountabilities section. * Support New Processes and process changes to support Business / Sourcing / Supply Model changes. There is a fast track career development supported through Coaching, Mentoring and exposure to Senior Level Management * The role will be based in the Global Leaf Pool Supply Chain based in the UK- Southampton * GLP serves BAT global business, with complex logistical and supply challenges. * The role requires a strong base in continuous improvement to drive the change management required within GLP in order to deliver sustainable change and the end game Operations vision.
