Support Worker / Service Coordinator Salary: £18,500 pro rata'd Hours: 30 Location: Cheshire East - North Contract Type: Permanent Our client are making homelessness history, it’s a big statement, but they’re not alone in achieving it. They’re part of the national movement tackling homelessness. They’re looking for a Service Coordinator to work with households across the North of Cheshire East. You’ll be providing tailored support to help their customers live independently in the local community. You’ll provide a range of support such as practical advice, emotional support, referring customers to external services and attending meetings or reviews that relate to customers. As this service is funded by the local council you’ll need to work towards service requirements, targets and objectives too. They’re looking for someone with at least 12 months experience supporting adults, young people or families with complex needs such as substance misuse, homelessness and mental health. You’ll need to have a genuine understanding of people impacted by homelessness, with great communication and problem solving skills to provide the best support. The nature of this role means each day is different so you’ll need to be flexible and adaptable, with some evening and weekend work required. The successful person for this role will need to be DBS checked too. Help our client to give those without a plan, voice or home to build concrete futures by tackling the issues that keep people from finding their own home.
