Warehouse Supervisor 4 on 4 off Nights
Overview
Freightserve are looking to recruit an experienced Freight Warehouse Supervisor. The role is based on a permanent night shift 4 nights on 4 nights off. The company are a major Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, supervising and carrying our warehouse operational duties. Responsible for the day to day warehouse activities at Heathrow in accordance with company, local and national regulations and procedures not limited to HSE, HMRC and DfT. Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:- Responsible to follow all company processes. Understanding and adherence to the relevant H&S legislation, Aviation and Department for Transport regulations. Ability to pack battery shipments in line with Dangerous Goods IATA packing regulations. Palletise cargo Interaction with internal and external customers, resolving their queries. Assisting colleagues with their warehouse duties; loading and unloading vehicles, labelling and pulling cargo / mail for export. Ability to unload / load Import and Export vehicles counting and locating freight to company processes. Ability to build and breakdown Aircraft pallets and units. Ability to use all required in house systems to fulfil your tasks. To carry out stock checks and bond checks when required. To organise transport and get goods delivered to airlines within the required timescales. To carry out all duties in a safe and correct manner. Be responsible to maintain highest levels of cleanliness, safety and security. Control hazardous substances in the area in accordance with EU/EK legislation. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by the Warehouse Manager. To ensure accurate information is handed over to the next shift supervisor. Determine staffing levels and assign workload. Supervise absence, sickness and holidays. Experience:- Experience in the use of standard computer packages such as word and excel Full FLT Counter Balance Licence. Proven experience in Supervisory Team Leader Working knowledge of Warehouse Systems in a Freight Forwarding / Logistics Environment. Capable of working under limited or no supervisor whilst carrying out agreed targets as efficiently and effectively as possible. Working hours are 4 nights on 4 nights off 7pm - 7am Please only apply if you have the necessary experience as only people with the correct experience will be contacted.
