HGV Driver – Roofing Supplies Ltd (RSL) Newquay Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday, and 7:30 – 10am every other Saturday About us: Based in the South West, RSL are your local independent, roofing experts. We offer a wide range of roofing supplies, delivering specialist advice and supplying market leading products to the roofing sector for commercial and domestic projects. The Role: We’re looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver, ideally with knowledge of the roofing industry but more importantly a willingness to learn and a commitment to great customer service. Driver CPC, valid forklift and HIAB certificate are highly desirable for this role. With a realistic daily schedule of multi-drop deliveries to local construction sites within the South West, you will be responsible for the loading of your vehicle and the delivery of materials and supplies to commercial and domestic premises. Assisting with the unloading of goods on site, you will also ensure that all necessary paperwork is checked and complete on delivery of materials. We expect all our drivers to take pride in the maintenance of their vehicles and to promote the Company with a friendly and professional manner. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would enjoy a lower pressured multi-drop schedule but has the character and work ethic to build on our reputation for great customer service. · Delivery of building materials and supplies · Assist customers and colleagues with the loading and unloading of equipment and materials · Maintain and clean all delivery vehicles remembering all VOSA and H&S requirements · Using forklift and HIAB, as and when required · Keeping the Company’s yard clean and tidy at all times, being mindful of all H&S requirements · Be aware of and abide by all on-site H&S requirements · Keep vehicle licences, H&S and VOSA knowledge up to date Skills and Attributes · A full, clean HGV driving licence is essential for this role · Driver CPC, valid forklift and HIAB Certificates are highly desirable · Experience of driving within the rural areas of the South West · Excellent communication skills with the ability to cultivate lasting relationships with customers and suppliers · A team player approach · Knowledgeable about the products and customers we serve is desirable Benefits include: Competitive starting salary 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays Company Pension Staff Discounts
