Overview

Senior Tester GBP65,000 London Our client is a leading bank dealing with Africa and the Middle East Region, they are now looking for a Senior Tester. You will be responsible for delivering the bank test strategy to ensure IT changes are built to the correct quality. Maximising the business and IT investment by mitigating business risks when implementing systems and IT processes through quality assurance and testing. The banks IT estate contains both in-house and third party supplied Banking applications as well as a busy IT office infrastructure. Key work outputs and accountabilities Strong experience in all phases of software testing life cycle including Requirement Analysis, Test planning, Test design, Test execution and defect reporting and closure. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Experience of bringing an outsourced Testing function back in house Deliver testing for IT projects and BAU changes to agreed time, budget and quality tolerances as laid out in the test policy and business cases Experience in design, develop and execute automation test scripts using Selenium and Java Maintains and provides test progress reporting to the project team and key stakeholders Be the senior tester for the companys Core Banking solution T24 supplied by Temenos Coordinate the testing activities during every stage of the test processes Actively participate in the test planning for IT projects and BAU changes with the IT Leadership team Undertake project test estimating, planning and tracking of projects and BAU changes Develop the test plan and schedule documents for each project or BAU change Responsible for the delivery of high quality test deliverables Manage communications of testing progress Hands on test preparation and test execution Required qualifications and experience Strong Experience in Testing of upgrades and enhancements to Temenos T24. Strong Experience in Testing of other associated Banking applications such as SWIFT, Treasury, Banking Compliance tools. Strong Experience in testing the integration of applications and data feeds with Temenos T24 Experience of testing MI/BI projects within a Banking environment Experience of working without-sourced Testing practices Well versed in developments in Banking Regulations and Technologies Experience in testing IT Infrastructure Projects (datacentre, cloud, server, networks) would be beneficial Strong user of JIRA, GIT and Confluence Demonstrable, full end to end project lifecycle experience Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum development process is beneficial Experience of Trade Finance, Commercial Finance, Treasury functions beneficial. Business Analysis experience in a Banking environment useful Post-secondary school education e.g. Professional Exams, Degree. ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst certification advantageous ITIL Foundation advantageous
