Overview
SEN Teaching Assistant - East London TLTP Education is on the search for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a Reception pupil who is joining the school in September. The pupil is an autistic female who is partly verbal, however uses some makaton. This role requires a consistent and hard-working teaching assistant who has the ability to display a caring attitude towards vulnerable students who are on the Autism spectrum. The school is looking for someone who has experience working with children who have Autism or other Special needs. My client, a two form entry Primary School graded Good by Ofsted in 2018, is a welcoming and friendly community school where kids feel happy and safe. There is commitment to inclusive practice at the heart of the school. My client is committed to meeting the special educational needs of pupils and ensuring that these pupils make sustained progress and learn exceptionally well due to targeted and specialist support. To be considered for this support role you will: -Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification -Have experience working with autistic children -Have experience using Makaton -Have a passion for working with SEN Children -Have the legal right to work in the UK This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS, overseas police clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
