Overview

Senior Residential Support Worker We are looking for a Residential Support Worker for homes looking after young people 8-17 yrs Westcliff On Sea - Emotional & Behavioural difficulties, East Tilbury - Learning Disability Canvey Island - Learning Disability Hours: Our roles are either 37.5 hours per week (Full time) or 18.5 / 22.5 hours per week (Part time) which will include a mix of early shifts (745am-315pm) & late shifts (245pm-1015pm). There may be a requirement for senior staff to carry out sleep in duties. Starting salary: £23,000.00 rising to £27,000.00 through annual appraisals. Qualifications required: You will be required to hold the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or a qualification the registered manager considers to be the equivalent. Experience required: Previous Senior Residential Worker experience, including shift leading in a similar setting. Previous experience of managing and supervising staff, including supervision on shift, regular formal supervision and staff appraisals. Previous experience in managing medication including, administration, ordering, monitoring and auditing. Previous experience of overseeing Care Plans related to young people in the home. Previous experience of reporting, recording and managing incidents on a daily basis within the home. Previous experience of working with children with learning disabilities or emotional & behavioral difficulties in a similar setting. Appropriate skills and experience required to carry out the role. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of emotional resilience and be able to work with a pragmatic approach towards all levels of possible adversities and challenges the young people may inadvertently display. Previous experience in report writing and be confident in using a computer or laptop. To be flexible, which includes working and travelling to other homes as and when required.
