About the position This national distribution business is changing its organisational structure and now requires a group finance manager to oversee the finance teams already in place at each site. Until now, each location effectively managed its own affairs, with everything now becoming more centralised from the head office in Bolton - where the new group finance manager will be based. This role requires both expertise and experience in equal measure. Not only in terms of your background as a finance manager but also in your ability to manage teams remotely and in person. That’s why we’re asking that you have 3 years of management experience in a financial role to apply for this position. Let’s dive into what you’ll be doing The group finance manager will be tasked with: Preparation of monthly management accounts Variance analysis of monthly performance vs forecasts Optimising working capital through the management of cash flow Rigorous cost control and budget creation Managing 6 people around the country team members at head office Analysis of performance, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements Attend senior management meetings and present to the board as required Skills and experience needed: Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA 3 years of experience as a finance manager or similar role Ability to lead a team, in person and remotely The confidence and knowledge to guide high stakes decision making Highly motivated and ambitious Ability to translate complex data into easy to understand messages Full UK driving licence Apply today If you’re a high performing and ambitious finance manager / financial controller looking for a new and exciting challenge, apply now.
