Overview

We are currently seeking a Clinical Service Unit Manager to join a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Maidenhead. The hospital is a 60 bed Tier 4 CAMHS hospital for young people aged 12 -18 years with a range of mental health disorders and includes the following units: •Adolescent Care •Acute Psychiatric •Eating Disorders Working as Clinical Service Unit Manager you will provide high quality nursing, clinical, personnel and leadership for the CSU in conjunction with the Clinical Lead (RC). You will ensure compliance with People, Quality and Finance key performance indicators are adequately delivered. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for CQC outcomes, quality service and standards to all those in our care and foster an open and transparent environment. The post will ensure that the CSU's vision to become a flagship clinical service is cultivated throughout the systems, processes and leadership interventions. Clinical Service Unit Manager role involves? • Providing leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring the effectiveness of the team in the delivery of excellent standards of care • Promoting independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care • Applying relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicates requirements to the wider team • Taking a leadership role in implementing change as required • Identifying care needs in conjunction with the person, their family and the team • Promoting high standards of nursing care for you and your team, by ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and that shift runs in a smooth efficient manner • Working collaboratively with the team through effective leadership and motivational skills • Ensuring effective communication systems are established and maintained between clients, families, staff and external agencies • Contributing in clinical reviews and nursing reviews ensuring accurate feedback on the client's care • Encouraging independence and personal choice and helping to provide an environment which is conducive to patients with varied and complex needs realising their potential to live as independently as they can find possible • Supervising and leading in the provision of person-centered care including planning, implementing and evaluating care plans • Ensuring that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met Experience: • Hold current NMC PIN registration and adhere to the NMC Codes of Conduct at all times • Possess clinical experience within mental health and/or LD treatment setting • Be up to date with current practices • Have a person centred ethos, showing empathy and a desire to make a difference • Have the ability to motivate, lead and supervise a team • Possess strong leadership and management qualities and be willing to take ownership for the delivery of quality care • Be able to demonstrate initiative and creativity • Be flexible and adaptable, well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service • Have a desire to expand your professional development and support organisational change • Have a legal right to work in the UK Benefits: • A generous bonus payment - Terms & Conditions apply • A thorough induction programme tailored to the hospital where you will be working • Clear pay structure, with competitive rates • Generous annual leave entitlement • Sick pay of 4 weeks full pay and 4 weeks half pay • The opportunity to participate in a company contributory pension scheme with up to 3% matching contributions • Maternity leave at 3 month's full pay and 3 month's half pay, (up to a maximum salary of £50k) • 2 weeks paid paternity leave • Shared parental leave, matching the maternity leave benefit • A fantastic preceptorship programme • Death in service benefit equivalent to 2 x salary • Reimbursement for NMC registration fees • A range of staff discounts • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) • Support for revalidation • Support for BSc and MSc • Professional support through Nurses forum • Access to Myfamilycare services which provides support and information at critical life events including access to experts and emergency care services • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) If you are interested in the above position call Michael on 01628 630104 or email an up to date CV to michael.whitedomusrecruitment.com quoting reference MW-CSUM-9398. ?As part of our continual pursuit of quality candidates we appreciate and reward candidate recommendations from you if we successfully secure them a position.
