Overview
Job Title: Electrical Installation Technician Location: Gloucester Salary: circa £27,000-£29,000 Overtime My client, a local manufacturer of bespoke products is looking to bring on an Electrical Installation Engineer/Panel Wirer to provide effective and efficient electrical support to the manufacturing and installation operation on a permanent basis. You will be travelling to customer sites so the ideal candidate must be prepared to stay away from home occasionally. Responsibilities & accountability: Perform electrical duties to the highest possible standard Operate and maintain all workshop equipment in conformance with good working practises at all times Support performance testing on all electrical equipment prior to despatch to customer Work effectively within a team environment and perform under own initiative Maintain good working relationship with customers with an awareness of the relevant standards and working practises pertinent to their particular working environment and product Provide technical support and guidance to associated areas i.e. design and projects, workshop, buying – where required Embrace opportunities for additional training to meet demands of the business Ensure awareness and conformity to all current standards and legislation Adhere to strict health and safety working practices at all times Quality Assurance of equipment and services before, during and after completion of manufacture Experience with working on low voltage – up to 415 kw and down to 24kw for the controls Experience of field wiring – wiring to components and to 3 phase motors; experience of panel wiring and panel building Experience of machine installation, containment and termination You must be prepared to work away from home at customer sites and stay away occasionaly Overtime and travel costs all covered
