Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer A challenging and thought-provoking opportunity to join a global organisation going through a period of rapid growth as a Mechanical Design Engineer based in the Cambridge area. We are lucky enough to collaborate with a well-established manufacturing business distributing cutting edge technology worldwide to assist in the search of an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer based in Cambridge. Experience within Fluid Dynamics/Fluid Mechanics is essential to be successful in this role Responsibilities: Product Design - to produce specifications, concept designs, full design packages (inclusive of FMEA, drawings, BOMs etc), in accordance with Company and other relevant standards. Prototype Product and Pre-production Product Validation - to be directly involved with, or oversee, the manufacture and test of prototype product and pre-production product, inclusive of customer trials and evaluation. Production Support - to provide product technical support inclusive of the issue of drawings, specifications, process definitions etc. to Production. Customer and Sales Support - inclusive of the provision of technical and applications support to sales staff and customers. Design Methodology - maintenance and development of tools and techniques required to enable efficient and effective new product development. Project Management - to manage new product development projects Essential Technical Bachelor of Science in Engineering 1 to 3 years experience in Mechanical in relevant Engineering subject. Experience in fluid dynamics, fluid mechanics, fluid flow in general Experience of product design and development methodologies - including high tolerance injection molded products Experience of product design and development methodologies - including high precision machined parts. Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)- CFD experience is a plus If you have the relevant skills please contact me at your earliest convenience.
