Overview
Due to continued business growth, Zenith People are proudly representing a North East based manufacturer on a new role within their Accounts function. Reporting to the Finance Controller and working within a small team, the ideal candidate will have extensive credit control experience. Responsibilities: ·Chasing and collection of UK/overseas (multi-currency) overdue payments to maintain agreed debtor days ·Dealing with/resolving customer queries ·Providing monthly credit control reports, highlighting areas of concern in order to resolve customer disputes ·Issuing monthly statements to customers ·Proactively maintaining regular email and telephone contact with customers to develop relationships/support more efficient and timely payment ·Implementing debt collecting processes on aged debtors ·Liaising with external parties to collect any bad debt ·Allocation of debtor’s cash receipts ·Reviewing and maintaining customer accounts ·Checking credit status and setting up new accounts ·Maintaining accurate and up to date customer details and account records ·Assistance with additional adhoc accounting activities where necessary to support the team/meet the needs of the business Person Specification: ·Accustomed to working in a busy environment ·Resilient and proactive in your approach ·Confident in using Microsoft Excel ·Familiar with Sage Line 50, knowledge of NAV an advantage ·Able to work on your own initiative whilst willing to support the wider team
