An innovative Bath based software house is looking for a driven Senior Python Developer to join them in their central offices and help them continue to deliver their cutting-edge cloud-based solution software to their global client base. Following a number of recent big client wins they’ve got a pipeline stacked with exciting projects. You’ll be joining a fast growing engineering team and will gain experience across product development & release cycles, continuous integration, automated testing and more. What skill's you'll need Proven background in programming in at least one of the following languages; Python, Java, Ruby, C, C++. Exposure to front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Knowledge of JS libraries such as React would be a bonus. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software packages and networking. Understanding of Agile SCRUM methodologies. Experience of DevOps practices and CI tools would be a bonus. What you'll be doing As Senior Developer your focus will be to drive the development of the business award-winning cloud solution product, taking ownership of the development of its various components. You’ll lean on your significant expertise to influence technical decisions, balancing cost with resource optimisation in order to successfully implement new and complex requirements. There will be some interaction with external stakeholders and 3rd parties so strong interpersonal skills as well as a passion for software are key. It’s an exciting time to be joining them with plenty of exciting projects on the horizon such as a new UI console being built with React, a large platform update in the coming months as well as the introduction of Linux containers to their edge servers. Their tech stack is broad and varied and they’re always eager to learn about the latest tech and tooling so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to bring new ideas to the table.
