Overview

An opportunity to work for a local business as a Finance Manager to help cover maternity leave. The role is going to need someone that can deal with all aspects of finance from year end to payroll, ledgers and management accounting. This a role that requires someone to be hands on and support one member of staff. The business are looking for someone for the next 12 months as a minimum and will look at individuals that are either qualified or QBE. The business are part of a large multi-national group and have the feeling of a SME business in the UK. The company offer a great working environment with an FD that can offer support and assistance as required. With an experienced and stable team, the role has well documented processes in place so the transition will be straight forward. Job Spec: Manage day to day finance - AP, AR, CC - resolving queries as required Ensuring that monthly, quarterly, half year and year end reporting requirements are delivered Ensure payroll is delivered in a timely manner Report on KPI's such as head count and overtime Manage Payment runs for suppliers Deliver time VAT and HMRC returns Responsible for month end close Maintain balance sheet integrity Posting journals Provide analysis and reports to management by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts Person Spec: Good communication skills Good IT and system skills includingstrong Excel skills Experience of working to deadlines
