Overview
Position : Company Accountant Location : Shropshire Salary : £28 - 35kpa Greenwellgleeson is currently recruiting on an Exclusive basis for the position of Company Accountant based in Shropshire. Our client is a very successful and financially secure family owned business and there is no concern on its future viability. This is a great opportunity to join a firm where historic staff turnover is minimal. The successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties including month end preparation. They will oversee and support the junior member of the team whilst ensuring that all aspects from sales and purchase ledger, cash book and bank reconciliations through to balance sheet reconciliations are performed monthly to a strict deadline, working closely with the Finance Director. This is a unique opportunity to join a successful team as direct result of continued success and reputation. The role will cover all core aspects of Finance, supporting the Finance Director. The ideal candidate will have extensive finance experience in a similar role. Qualifications may help but is not an imperative, AAT Studier/qualified or qualified by experience in a similar role, would be preferable. Maintain Purchase Ledger & sales ledger Prepare BACS payment runs Assist with credit control Cash flow analysis Bank reconciliations Monthly accruals, prepayments and journals Balance sheet & Month end reconciliations Preparation of monthly management accounts Variance analysis budget vs forecast Assist with budgeting & forecasting process Process year end accounts Assist with year-end Audit Ideally you will have: Systems experience in SAGE QBE or AAT qualified or ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified Must be self motivated and able to work alone but also as part of a team. Must be a good communicator and able to build sustainable relationships.
