L ocation: Central Bristol Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm Salary: Up to £32,000 bonus benefits What the job involves: An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Procurement team The Category Buyer - Estates & Facilities Management (FM) is responsible for the third party planned and reactive maintenance disciplines as well as the soft facilities management supply chains across the national Unite estate. This is a chance to join our driven, enthusiastic and rigorously commercial procurement function and to make your mark on a multi-million pound category. To give you an idea of what to expect, you will be: Providing professional procurement advice and support across Estates & FM spend Managing sourcing processes (including tenders, RFQs, negotiations) Maintaining contractual agreements and agreeing commercials Formulating category strategy in conjunction with stakeholders Promoting and leading effective supplier relationship management What we look for in you: An ambitious and driven self-starter, with sound contractual knowledge and procurement experience A desire to exceed targets and get into a role with opportunity to develop and progress over time Track record of successful stakeholder management, ideally interfacing with both technical and project management teams Strong negotiation skills and demonstrable commercial acumen Ability to build relationships and rapport internally and externally Experience working in an Estates or Facilities Management category What Unite Students is all about: We have been the leaders in the purpose built student accommodation market since our foundation back in 1991 and have been at the top of our game ever since.
