Overview

Are you an experienced accountant who has strong systems experience and would love to get more involved withsystem changes , new implementations and process improvement? In this position you will work closely with the Head of Finance Systems to help them ensure that the finance systems are used to their full potential. Have experience of taking underperforming finance systems and making recommendations for improvement? Great, you could really thrive in this role. The company is a well known brand. It's a company that have experienced high levels of growth over the years and it would be fair to say that the company growth has outstripped their current systems platform. This is now an area of heavy investment for the business. In terms of deliverables, your overall responsibilities will fall into: Ensuring that all systems in the Finance Department are used to their full potential Review current financial systems and work out the best way to improve these through the design of new systems Assisting with the selection and implementation of new Finance systems as required Working to make Finance digital to include a full evaluation of artificial intelligence solutions to automate processes Taking ownership of Finance projects from a systems perspective and delivering satisfactory outcomes Understand the current problems/issues in processes and work in a proactive method to establish improvements Ensuring systems processes and procedures are fully documented For your application to be considered, you will need to be a qualified/part qualified accountant who has a good understanding of Finance systems, processes and procedures. You must be confident and be happy to go out and make things happen rather than wait for opportunities to come to you. From a systems perspective it will be expected that you have worked with a number of finance systems, Oracle experience would be ideal, however strong Excel and VBA skills are a must.
