Overview

I am seeking a Registered Manager within community services to ensure full compliance to CQC regulations and company policy and ensure that high standards of care and support are delivered to unpaid carers across the Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham communities. The organisation that I am working with is a not for profit charity that has been providing support to unpaid carers since 1990, part of a larger group who are nationally recognised, the group provide regulated and non regulated services such as befriending, shopping, housework and companionship services to alleviate the pressures faced by unpaid carers nationally. The charity is registered and regulated by the CQC. An unpaid carer is someone who, without payment, provides help and support to someone in need who could otherwise not cope without, the support that the charities services reach to extends to young carers who, under the age of 18 carry out significant care tasks for those in need. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the main duties and responsibilities of the position are laid out below: Compliance Act as the lead person liaising with and co-operating with CQC inspectors and inspections Accountability for provider and care compliance ensuring CQC regulations, company policies and practice are maintained and promote the organisations aims and values Quality Assurance Implement and maintain an effective quality assurance programme/audit to promote high quality, best practice and continuous improvement of services. Attend monitoring meetings with commissioners or other relevant bodies. Service Delivery Oversee delivery of all care/support services through the allocations function that promotes independence, choice and dignity for people to live as independently as possible. Monitor care/support services that provide flexibility, continuity & accessibility Service Development Participate in the strategic development of the organisation. Grow and develop services through increased hours and maximising new referral opportunities . Assist with sourcing new income streams & development of key professional partnerships. Produce reports relating to relevant meetings, including board meetings & commissioners. Deputise in the absence of the Chief Executive. Team Management & Leadership Line management support to key office staff relevant to the provision of our services. Identify & oversight of recruitment needs reporting to the CEO. To have oversight of HR/ staff management duties Resource Management Identify and assist with any fundraising initiatives & relationships with potential donors. Essential Criteria: RMA or Relevant Professional Qualification Equivalent Minimum two Years experience in an operational / management capacity Hold excellent CQC regulatory framework knowledge Have extensive care plan assessment / risk assessment experience Hold excellent knowledge of the Carers Act 2014 Experience of working with local authority and health commissioners Experience of carrying out Quality Audits Be an excellent communicator Desirable Experience Experience of management within the not for profit / voluntary (health and social sector) Experience of contact monitoring and or negotiations Experience of staff recruitment Experience of developing additional services to meet the needs of clients.
