Overview
The Company Here at Brewster McBride we are delighted to be working with an iconic, multipurpose sports and leisure venue in London to appoint a Senior Procurement Professional. The venue is a tax-payer funded organisation and so it is critical that the right candidate understands and has strong working knowledge of public procurement law. The Role This is a newly created position and will be the second in line to the CFO at the venue. The role is vital in supporting the establishment and delivery of best practice in the procurement function within the venue, and will have responsibility for managing substantial operational and CAPEX budgets. Key responsibilities for this role include: Acting as the venue Procurement Leader, leading public procurement operations for complex and non-complex projects, ensuring the delivery of challenge free and value for money procurements. Managing significant operations and CAPEX budgets, overseeing all associated projects and contractor agreements. Developing and implementing procurement strategies, routes to market, market engagement processes and supporting continuous improvement activities to ensure processes are transparent, robust and provide for timely procurement of goods and services. Supporting the work of the venue and wider Group in achieving best value for money from its suppliers. You will do providing leadership in the provision and continuing introduction of industry best practice in procurement and on-going contract and supply-chain management The Candidate To succeed in this role you will be a proficient procurement professional with significant experience in management process development & implementation, supplier relationship development & performance management, strategy building, specification, report and recommendation writing. You will hold professional procurement qualifications, in addition you will demonstrate significant experience managing public funds, and have an in-depth understanding of public procurement law.
