Overview
First People Solutions are currently supporting an established Telecoms / Utilities client within their extensive projects throughout the Edinburgh region with genuine routes of progression into more supervisory / managerial positions due to extensive work scopes in place. The overall purpose of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support to the Delivery Team with financial and contractual matters. The ideal candidate will be for someone looking to learn, develop and progress through the company. Duties: Production of CVRs and analysis of same Preparing valuations for payment applications to the client Compiling costs for compensation events and the management of change Certifying payment applications from subcontractors Analysing and interrogating costs compared to budget and allowances Assisting the estimators with the preparation & presentation of tender submissions Resolving disputes with clients, suppliers and subcontractors Preparing subcontract documentation Background Ideally degree qualified or professional qualification Competent in MS Excel A clear understanding of NEC contracts Ability to interpret and understand contract documents, scopes of works and contract drawings An appreciation of financial cost control and value recovery Should this be an opportunity of interest - please contact Jamie at First People Solutions or send your most up to date via the "Apply" button.
