We've just promoted our current Technical Support Engineer to become a Sales Manager - are you their replacement? Qualified Mechanical Engineer with some customer dealing experience required for this hybrid Technical / Sales / Design / Service / Applications Support Engineer role. COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Northampton, Bedford, Luton, Banbury, Daventry, Wellingborough, Dunstable, Aylesbury, JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Support / Applications / Design / Sales Support Engineer : Milling Machines This is a really diverse role incorporating a variety of functions. These include: · Sales Support - working alongside the Sales Manager, dealing with current and potential customers via telephone and face to face (either at Milton Keynes and at client sites UK wide) · Sales administration / order processing / customer service · Application Engineering - CAD / CAM using 2D & 3D packages. · Small amount of service work - fault finding, repair, installation and commissioning · Plus occasional work at exhibitions KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Support / Applications / Design / Sales Support Engineer : Milling Machines As our Technical Support Engineer, you'll be interacting with customers - as customer support / sales administration and eventually even pro-active sales - if that's your thing. You'll be providing technical advice, dealing with problems and sourcing solutions. Don't worry - the team are experts and will have most of the answers until you do. You'll get full product training on our range of high speed precision CNC Milling / Machine tooling products. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Technical Support / Applications / Design / Sales Support Engineer : Milling Machines You'll be an Apprentice / ONC / HNC / Degree Qualified Mechanical Engineer with some exposure (via work or experience) to CAD / CAM software - e.g. Solidworks / AutoCAD / Fusion 360 / Mastercam. In an ideal world, you will have some understanding or exposure to CNC Milling. You'll have some sort of customer facing / client relationship experience. This could be from a sales / design / service / applications / project or technical support background - for example.
