Overview
Mechanical Fitter Location Bristol Type Contract Duration 12 weeks possibly longer Our client based in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit a fitter to work on contract for initially 12 weeks, but this could possibly be extended. The successful fitter will be able to demonstrate that they have robust mechanical assembly fitting experience and are fully conversant reading and interpreting Mechanical Engineering Drawings. Overall job description: Precision assembly/fitting. Building of machines from engineering drawings and diagrams. Machine check out. Build and check out of Forming Tools (Punch and Die). Understand parts lists and relate back to engineering drawings. Liaise with Design Engineers and other Assembly Fitters. Standard maintenance on Shop Floor equipment. Light lifting as required to carry out duties. Use of light lifting equipment (pump trucks etc.). May be required to assist in commissioning and installation or service. Education & Training City and Guilds or equivalent
