Overview
Gerrard White is looking for a QA Engineer who understand testing and how to best contribute to the creation of quality software for a market leading insurance group. Suitable candidates will have: Hands on experience in OOPS - Java Extensive experience in API testing - REST and SOAP API's Expertise in Selenium automation using Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, JAVA, TestNG, JUnit & Maven Must be able to understand business requirements and generate acceptance criteria Specialized in writing Test Plans, Test Cases, Summary Test Reports and generating Test scripts. Design and implement different automation frameworks from scratch like Page Objects framework, Keyword Driven framework, Data Driven framework and Hybrid framework Perform Cross browser testing using Selenium/Protractor on different environments & report defects/results Experience in working selenium with TestNGand Junit Experience on working with Version controlling like Github Experience in test data preparation, RTM preparation, experience in Testing Methodologies and implementing in SDLC Life cycle process. Involved extensively in Functional, Integration, Regression, Black Box, Defects testing, Retesting, Authentication & Access control testing, UAT, Sanity testing and Smoke testing. Participated in the teams through design, implementation, testing and packaging of the software. Worked on bug tracking tools like Bugzilla, Jira, Quality Centre Involved in Project Planning, coordination and implementing various QA methodologies. Excellent communicative, interpersonal, intuitive and analysis skills Experience of working in an Agile team Experience with Jira or similar defect and workflow management software Knowledge on Database Technology. Oracle or Postgres DB Desirable: Experience of testing web services/ microservices/web APIs Financial sector experience Experience of working within a continuous integration environment Exposure to testing software in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Athena DB, Elastic Beanstalk, S3 Buckets, Lambda's and Step functions Experience with the following technologies: Java, XML, JSON, SOAPUI, Postman, Junit, Jenkins Knowledge in JavaScript or Typescript Experience in BDD automation script development with Cucumber/Specflow Use of Jenkins / Travis Any Testing Certification is an added advantage
