Overview

My client are currently going through an exciting rapid growth period and need an Assistant Customer Services Manager to join their team. The successful candidate MUST have recent experience of overseeing a customer services, administration or sales team, at Supervisor level or above and knowledge of the travel industry. You would work alongside a second Assistant Customer Services Manager, sharing equal responsibility. Some of the responsibilities include: Assist with the drafting of any documentation, including itinerary change letters and tickets, before sending to higher management for approval. Overseeing the team to ensure such documentation are sent out on time. Supporting and encouraging the team to reach the expected telephone service target of 95%. To take an active role in the team training programme, by noting key areas that need addressing and providing adequate training to clarify such matters. Assisting the Customer Services Manager with weekly team briefings, to ensure the team are always fully up to date on all matters. Assisting with any staff HR matters such as e-days meetings regarding absence concerns and addressing any performance issues at initial stages. To monitor and assess the teams’ individual performances and assist with carrying out annual appraisals. Proactively thinking of ways to enhance the customer experience through all areas of the customer journey. To support the senior management team and assist with any adhoc duties as requested.
