Reception Support Worker - Southampton Fixed Term 6 months - 37 Hours £18,866 Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role where you are able to empower people every day to develop their skills and move towards independence? Do you enjoy working in an environment where every day is different to the next? Then this could be the role for you. You will be working as part of a team to provide support to our homeless clients. You will love helping others and enjoy supporting individuals to achieve their goals and to become more independent. You will have a calm and personable manner and be able to handle potentially difficult situations. Day in the life of a Reception Support worker : Be the first welcoming friendly face for people coming into the service and manage the arrival and departure of all visitors and clients Respond to support enquiries giving short term assistance where required Maintain up to date knowledge of services in the city for advice and signposting Provide help and guidance to visitors and clients and support to clients when in crisis Organise workshops and events to promote wellbeing Support with fundraising and maintain healthy relationships in the community Oversee and help volunteers as needed Supervise deliveries and collections via reception Answer and divert incoming phone calls providing help and guidance where necessary Monitor diaries and appointments and maintain communication log Maintain a clean and efficient service Work in accordance with health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures Attend supervision, appraisal and training as required Any other reasonable task as requested by a member of staff About us We are a homeless housing association, offering supported accommodation in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire and West Sussex for those who are homeless, vulnerable or in need of support.
