Overview

We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Engineeringsector and we have an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Procurement Officer. The role will suit candidates from a manufacturing, engineering, or technical background who have experience purchasing/buying technical goods. Engineering Procurement Officer’s Core Duties Coordinate and administer the end-to-end procurement and supply cycle Assess potential or new suppliers by quantitative and/or qualitative means Prepare, submit and expedite request for proposals and/or quotations to suppliers Evaluate supplier offers (technical & commercial) to verify requirements are met Coordinate parts approvals with Engineering team Issue technical queries to suppliers as and when necessary Support final negotiations with selected suppliers Maintain an up to date 'Approved Suppliers List’ Prepare and issue supplier document requirement list Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing as and when necessary Arrange, coordinate, expedite and track the dispatch of goods by suppliers Pursue and verify documents provided by supplier prior to shipping Prepare and communicate accurate shipping, export and commercial documentation Proactively detect, avert and correct delivery or supplier performance issues Alert Management and Project Team on shipment delays and proactively address them Work with suppliers and freight forwarders and reschedule shipments where necessary Issue supplier alert notices, such as claims, NCRs and CARs Distribute procurement, expediting and supplier performance reports Comply with QHSE, customer HSSE, and quality requirements and procedures Engineering Procurement Officer’s Skills required Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Telecommunications CIPS qualified (Certificate or Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain OR equivalent) Latest International Commerce (INCO) Terms Engineering Procurement Officer’s Key Experience 3-5 years’ experience as an Engineering Procurement Officer or a Buyer within manufacturing Good computer and organisational skills Good interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills Russian (written and verbal) desirable Are you enthusiastic about the Engineering Procurement Officer’s job?
