Role Responsibilities: Prioritise and manage workload of the maintenance team Contribute to planned maintenance strategy Ensure the maintenance and facilities system is used to its full potential by logging jobs and hours, ensuring detailed reports are loaded and using data for KPI’s Ensure speedy and efficient response to plant breakdowns Ensure safety procedures are adhered to at all times Issue work permits when required Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance programme Liaise with parts suppliers and raise purchase orders Manage sub contract labour in regards to maintenance and facilities Ensure contractor management boards are continuously updated Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and the facilities comply with legislation Comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money Perform site inductions when required Ensure agreed contractor work is completed satisfactory and follow up on any deficiencies Update internal departments on the progress of their repair Manage and lead on site facilities projects Role Requirements: Minimum HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, ideally apprentice trained Possess a strong maintenance and facilities knowledge Previous experience of leading multi-skilled maintenance teams and facilities management Strong IT Skills Ability to deal with conflicting manufacturing requirements and devise repair schedules to resolve any issues Excellent people skills and the ability to deal with demanding internal customers Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a demanding environment A strong understanding of heavy plant machinery of varying ages Understands current facilities legislations and be our "go to person" Due to the nature of the role you will require full security clearance Ability to prioritise work loads
