Overview

Role Definition To support and play an active role within the Group HR function providing a comprehensive excellent HR administrative service to managers and employees within the group Key Responsibilities /Accountabilities Ensure a comprehensive and professional HR service is delivered to managers and employees ensuring all administration and HR queries are delivered in a timely manner in line with our Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) Provide support for employee and line manager queries escalating as appropriate Provide statistical information in relation to HR Employee Service provision Support the administration service on all HR Group activities. Support the administration service on all employment life cycle matters Ensure payroll information is provided in a timely and accurate manner Ensure comprehensive accurate HR Records and documentation is maintained for all employees for example Right to Work, Visa etc. in line with legal requirements Regular proactive process reviews to improve customer service and efficiencies Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required. Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on employment law, developments & innovations in HR delivery & thinking. Encourage, support and coach other HR team members in their own development. Maintain a positive and solution oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback. In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the HR department and the company as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive and beneficial relationships. Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role. Skills and abilities needed to perform role Excellent knowledge of HR policies and processes Excellent Customer service skills Experience in a busy, fast paced & dynamic environment Great team player with a professional and pro-active approach Ability to be confidential at all times Excellent time management and organisation skills Good attention to detail and analytical ability Knowledge and Experience Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages Previous experience of having worked in a HR Shared Service in a Senior HR Assistant role preferred Previous experience of having worked in financial, insurance or professional services preferred but not essential Experience of working with an off shore team Professional Qualifications CIPD qualification (Desirable) Salary: £25K to £30K (12 month Contract) Location: Bedford
