Overview
Our client is a leading UK Civil Engineering Company with an excellent reputation in the industry. Due to internal growth within the business they have an immediate requirement for an experienced Environmental Advisor. Key Essentials: Reporting to the Environmental Manager; you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are given Environmental support whilst liaising with the Health & Safety and Site Management team on the implementation of objectives and policies on their Projects Your role will involve overseeing, advising and reporting on Environmental issues including Carbon Footprint Monitoring and Site Waste Plans; ensuring that compliance is met, whilst maintaining Management Systems adhere to ISO 14001 You will be required to conduct incident investigations in accordance with Reporting Procedures and analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any recurrences You will be responsible for Coordinating and assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the Environmental Management Systems. Helping to ensure that they are circulated and complied throughout the business Your role will involve planning and executing internal audits to assess the implementation of Environmental Control Procedures at project level Working with the Commercial team, your role will involve assisting with tender applications Requirements: You should be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in an Environmental related discipline You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an Environmental role for a Civil Engineering / Construction company You should be an excellent communicator with meticulous attention to detail environmental hse she sheq advisor consultant civilengineering health safety ISO auditing audit managementsystem
