Ashley Grey Executive Search are delighted to be recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to join an experienced and long-established accountancy practice based in the Hertfordshire area. Do you have payroll experience? Do you have good knowledge of PAYE system? Are you able to maintain a high level of accuracy? Are you confident and dynamic? This could be the role for you Working within and supporting the payroll team your role will be to process a high level of weekly and monthly payrolls, manage the Auto Enrolment process and client Pension Schemes. Working as part of a team you will adhere to strict deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy, whilst working under pressure. This is a varied and interesting role in which you will not only be the point of contact for assisting clients with their enquiries but will also have the ability to work independently and be able to manage / plan work in accordance with scheduled and unscheduled deadlines. Previous experience of working in payroll is essential, ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience is preferred. Prior experience in using Sage Payroll software or proficient in other mainstream Payroll software will be considered. You will have the knowledge to manually calculate PAYE tax and NIC and be competent in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
