Overview

We are looking for a confident, dynamic individual who can assist in our busy Payroll Department The position: Supporting the Payroll Management Team Processing a high level of weekly and monthly payrolls Automatic-Enrolment processing Management of client Pension Schemes Working as part of a team to adhere to strict daily deadlines Handling telephone enquiries Data entry on spreadsheets and databases Weekly and monthly data reporting activities PAYE tax & National Insurance related queries Other ad-hoc duties as required Previous experience working in payroll is essential. Ideally candidates should have a minimum of 2 years previous payroll experience All applicants will ideally have prior experience in using Sage Payroll software, however proficiency in other mainstream Payroll software will also be considered. Qualifications and Education Requirements Minimum requirement is for C grade GCSE level passes in Maths and English. Preferred Skills Knowledge and experience of Payroll and Auto-Enrolment Good knowledge of the PAYE system. The ability to manually calculate PAYE tax and NIC is preferable Competent in Microsoft Office; Excel and Word in particular Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, work to strict deadline and work under pressure Good communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently and be able to manage/plan work in accordance with scheduled and unscheduled deadlines Must be highly organised Regular working hours are Mon-Fri 9am to 5.30pm 28 Days holiday (Including public holidays) Opportunity to join the company’s workplace pension scheme Candidates who are invited to interview may be required to complete a short test to confirm their level of Excel & Payroll knowledge.
