We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader who can pick up the pace quickly in order to support our high performing team in our Manchester City Centre. This presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is interested in furthering their career. As the Team Leader you will manage a team of fee earners who deal with complex personal injurycases that involve psychiatric injuries caused through work. This role would suit an individual who has previous experience of managing a team within personal injury or employment. Responsibilities to include: • Running a caseload of complex ID and stress related cases whilst managing a team. • Instructing experts • dealing with disclosure including but not limited to applying for and analysing Medical Records • Overseeing all the financial aspects of matters including time recording, billing and debtor management in order to achieve your personal fee budget • Building relationships with internal and external parties • Ensuring that files are managed effectively, meeting set deadlines, complying with precedents, letters or documents on the case management system • Where required you will also delegate work to more juniorfee earners and legal support staff to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and court, or other, deadlines are adhered to • Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements • Attending client meetings • Attending conferences and Court to sit behind Counsel • Drafting pleadings, interlocutory applications, directions questionnaires About You: • Applicants must have a keen interest in working closely and maintaining relationships with organisations • Previous experience of managing a team within Industrial Disease • Proven ability of nurturing and developing professional networks, both internally and externally is highly desirable • Excellent client care and communication skills are essential to this role • You should also be commercially aware and motivated to proactively support firm growth • A desire to provide legal advice to clients who are suffering with their mental health • The ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people both verbally as well as in writing is also integral to this role as are strong IT skills What we offer in return: In return we offer a competitive salary with market leading benefits, a positive and inviting work environment, exposure to industry specialists and the fantastic opportunity to develop a rewarding and successful career with an award winninglaw firm as well as immediate exposure to the best quality work within the serious injury field.
