You are an experienced and detail driven Quantity Surveyor, maybe working for a contractor and thinking about going client side, managing contractors? We're growing a billion pound global retail group looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our in house team and to be responsible for the delivery of new stores. BASIC SALARY: £60,000 - £70,000 LOCATION: Soho, London COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Wembley, Stratford, Harrow, Walthamstow, Brent Cross, Canary Wharf, Lambeth, Fulham, Brixton, Twickenham, Croydon, Ilford, Barking, Enfield, Edgeware JOB DESCRIPTION: Quantity Surveyor If you're an ambitious Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor now is a fantastic time to join us. You'll be involved in all commercial aspects within our growing commercial, retail, maintenance and residential sectors. Having previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager you'll be working on Commercial, Retail & Residential projects with multi million pound values, responsible for and managing: · Costs associated with Architects and Main Contractors from initial enabling works through to White Box handover stage · Preparing estimates, tendering subcontract packages, valuations, agreeing final accounts, payment of subcontractors and material purchase · Tight control of costs and works undertaken by the contractors ensuring value for money and quality are upheld PERSON SPECIFICATION: Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager who has a proven track record within the construction industry. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. We envisage you to have: · HND or equivalent in Building Studies, Construction, Surveying or similar · Experience of administering JCT forms of contracts · Strong Knowledge of general building works · 3rd Level Qualification in a building/construction, engineering or quantity surveying related subject would be desirable but not essential THE COMPANY: We're a leading British retailer group, currently operating 670 stores worldwide inclusive of 11 well known brands.
