Overview

Quality Technician Location: Aycliffe £15.34 an hour 6 Month Contract (may extend and renew) Variable shift pattern: 39 hours per week The Opportunity My client is an established global pharmaceutical manufacturer who are currently looking for 2 Quality Technicians to join their Quality department, based in Aycliffe. You will be responsible for performing and supporting QC activities related to the manufacture of disposable and reusable respirators at Aycliffe. Key Responsibilities Testing of respiratory protection products for qualification and release purposes. Calibrating all test equipment within the quality and test laboratories. Working alongside the development team to produce new test equipment to determine when and where failures may be introduced. Working with SAP and PLM platforms daily to support statistical analysis and manufacturing. Analysing data using Minitab to present to the team for discussion. Inspecting any under-performing or failing product further for determination of the cause through dissection of the part and breakdown of the manufacturing process. Collaborating closely with a team of quality engineers to detect, analyse and remove faults within products and the manufacturing lines as well as predict any causes of failure in the future. Requirements Candidates must have 1-2 years industry experience minimum in a manufacturing background. Laboratory experience is advantageous. Working towards a CQI qualification is advantageous. Working knowledge of Outlook, e-Matrix and SAP Need to be able to analyse/understand data, good report writing skills and IT literate. Understanding and application of continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniques. Competent IT skills Mathematically competent Familiarity and understanding of test equipment Excellent communication skills throughout all levels of the organisation Able to work alone, demonstrating initiative and can interact well as part of a team.
