Change Public Practice are working with a market leading Big 4 firm to assist them with the growth of their Financial Services audit team. There are opportunities at Newly Qualified Senior and Assistant Manager level for their Wealth & Asset Management, Banking and Insurance audit teams and whilst the predominant focus would be for candidates to be based in Edinburgh, those who are based in Glasgow will also be considered and assigned a local client base. Responsibilities will include: · Leading fieldwork, managing performance and keeping engagement leaders updated on audit engagements · Completing audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to increase your technical and business skills in areas including revenue, financial instruments and income taxe3s · Engaging clients and providing authoritative advice throughout transactions · Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues Requirements: · You must hold a fully professional accountancy qualification i.e. ICAS / ICAEW / ACCA and have a minimum of 3 years’ audit experience gained from a Chartered Accountancy firm i.e. Big 4, Top 10, Mid-Tier CA firm · Experience of leading on audit engagements in a Senior / Assistant Manager role would be highly beneficial · Experience of undertaking audit engagements within the Financial Services sector is required. Areas of significant interest are Banking, Wealth and Asset Management or Insurance · Strong communication skills are essential
