What we look for in a Warehouse Technician The post holder will be responsible for the day to day activities associated with the efficient running of the warehouse and refurbishment facility regarding the receipt, management and dispatch of care technology equipment. Be responsible for the equipment in the demonstration area and of that area in general. You will support people of all ages to maintain their health and wellbeing, including those people who are leaving hospital or to prevent the need for them to use other health and social care support. You will also be supporting unpaid carers to carry on caring for friends and family. Day to day management of all stock coming into and leaving the warehouse area Day to day management of the care technology equipment in the demonstration area and generally for looking after the demonstration area Picking and set up of care technology equipment, quality assurance and putting away of stock Cleaning, decontamination and preparation of returned equipment Ability to move and track equipment in and stock movements through a computerised bar code scanner system A team worker with a flexible approach and good communication skills Able to provide relief driver cover to visit customers in their own homes to deliver, install, repair or collect care technology equipment Person Specification: Essential Education/Qualifications - Good level of general education to GCSE or similar (as a guide 4 GSCE's A-C) including English and maths Desirable Education/Qualifications - Level 2 Introduction to Technology Enabled Care or equivalent Relevant additional qualifications e.g. administrative qualifications, Health and Social Care qualifications Relevant additional qualifications e.g. NVQlevel II / III in Health and Social Care, telecare CPD Desirable Experience Specialist knowledge of telecare and other care technology equipment Experience of servicing telecare or care technology equipment Warehouse Cleaning Repairs Essential Skills A team worker with a flexible approach and good communication skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Able to read and follow technical instruction manuals, converting what is read into practice Able to use IT equipment competently A good communicator, resilience when needed and an empathetic nature Effective organisation and time management skills Ability to prioritise your work Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance Ability to use own initiative Ability to work under pressure and cope with stress Positive attitude Willingness to learn Good interpersonal skills Good customer care skills Other Requirements: Driving Licence.
