IT Manager
Overview
We are assisting a key customer with their search for a IT Manager to take the helm of the IT systems and services at this 24/7 manufacturing facility. We are ideally seeking a Manager who has experience in a broad generalist IT background and who understands networking, servers, backup, telephone systems, office applications, security etc and can make the necessary recommendation and decisions to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently. Managing a small team, this will be a hands-on role and require the management of a third party supplier also. If successful you will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and time lines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of the company's computing needs. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to include: Manage information technology and computer systems; Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations; Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance; Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures; Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems; Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organisational policy; Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time; Audit systems and assess their outcomes; Preserve assets, information security and control structures; Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
