Learning Disability Support Workers – Full Time & Flexible working available. £8.50 – £10.50 per hour. Are you a student returning from University looking for care and support work? We have immediate opportunities for nursing and health and social care students looking for flexible work over the next six months. Pay rates starting at £8.72. Better Healthcare Services have a number of short and long-term placements for Support Workers and HCA’s working with adults and children within the learning disabilities, elderly and mental health sectors. We have plenty of work in nursing and residential homes, supported living settings, mental health hospitals and children’s homes. Ideally you will be studying a nursing or social care related degree and have a passion for care. We are able to offer you a wide variety of work with shift flexibility to work round your requirements. Pay rates start at £8.72 with enhancements for evening and weekends. Responsibilities: Providing personal care, domestic tasks and housing related support in a residential setting or lone working in the community. Providing boundaries and direction around positive behaviours. Promoting choice and independence. To support individual to live a life as full as possible and to engage with the community. Provide physical and emotional support, ensuring that respect, dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times. Requirements: Experience of providing care and/or support to vulnerable people. Possess excellent people skills. Have a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities. Be able to develop and maintain good working relationships Be able to demonstrate positive personal authority. Have great communication skills. Benefits: Excellent rates of pay.
