Support engineer - London - £35,000 - 12-month FTC Senior support engineer is required to join a growing technology firm based in the city of London to provide maternity cover of the service desk team lead. As the senior support engineer who will be joining a small support team where you will be the most senior figure providing hands on face to face support of around 120 users as well as managing the internal IT systems. The company are looking for a support engineer with a broad range of skills who can work across 1st-3rd and also act as an escalation point for a more a junior support engineer. This is a customer centric role and also there will be some management responsibilities for the more junior member although no previous management experience is required as this can be learned on the job. The ideal candidate would have experience in Office 365, Windows 10, Networking principles and all-round good desktop experience. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain management responsibilities for the first time and also to work in a role that offers a broad range of work. Responsibilities: Management of IT Service Desk and related tasks/duties (i.e update and maintain service desk platform, ensuring SLAs are kept) Helpdesk reporting to Head of IT Manage IT Support Technician Microsoft Active Directory new user setup and leavers Manage and oversee New Starter requests. Minor application updates on key applications and deemed appropriate Coordinating with 3rd party suppliers Working closely with the Infrastructure, Software Development and Web Development team to ensure business requirements are met Skills required: Ability to delegate tasks and manage company expectations.
