Your new role This council are currently recruiting for the position of a Senior Enforcement Officer, to join their team on a contracting basis. The role encompasses a variety of day-to-day activities: Lead on the detailed investigation of more complex enforcement cases as allocated by the Planning Enforcement Manager, including entering into negotiations with interested parties to bring about the resolution of such cases. Manage your own caseload of between 40-60 cases depending on the complexity of enforcement issues, and progress suitable remedies including taking formal action as appropriate according to the severity of the breach. Furthermore, to carry out site inspections as and when required to handle the more complex enforcement cases, and particularly to monitor progress of these cases following the issue of formal notices or action. What you'll need to succeed In order to be considered for this position, you will need to be someone with prior experience within Local Authority Planning Enforcement, and have detailed knowledge of a wide range of relevant planning legislation including but not limited to; Listed Buildings, Tree Preservation Orders, advertisement regulations, CIL and section 106 agreements.
