Overview
A quantity surveyor job in Lancashire paying £40k for a family run construction business. Your new company You will join an established family run main contractor based in the Fylde Coast. They offer a range of services including new build and refurbishment schemes up to the value of £3m, operating across the North West. They have built excellent relationships over the years and much of their work comes from repeat clients. They are a financially stable business and are currently happy with the size of the business and turnover / profits. They are now making the appointment of a quantity surveyor to join their commercial team and are keen to speak to local surveyors regarding this post. Your new role You will report to their MD and will be the sole QS for the business. You will be responsible for producing estimates/quotes/formal tenders, procuring subcontractors/suppliers, attending site visits, working alongside the project managers and managing all live projects from start to finish. You will be able to manage your own time and workload and will be given autonomy due to them being a smaller business. You will have experience working across healthcare, education, leisure and commercial schemes and will be able to manage several small projects at any one time. What you'll need to succeed You will be currently working as a Quantity Surveyor and will ideally hold a commercial degree. You will be experienced working on new build / refurbishment projects up to the value of £3m. Due to the demand for commercial staff across the local market they are open to level of experience. They will consider a strong assistant surveyor who is ready to take the next step in their career OR an experienced senior surveyor looking to work local to the Fylde coast. You must have a competitive nature and be looking for a long-term opportunity. What you'll get in return You will be offered a salary of £30,000 - £45,000 (dependant on experience), bonus scheme, 24 days holiday BH, pension, laptop, mobile and flexible working hours.
